Maggie has been making hand-built ceramics since 2018 under the expert tutelage of the wonderful Shona Leach.

She enjoys exploring form, texture and colour using techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab-building.   Using a variety of clays, speciality glazes and oxides helps to ensure that each piece is unique, whether functional or decorative.

She is a retired acupuncturist living in Dunkeld, and the highlight of her week is working with clay alongside fellow ceramicists in Shona’s yurt.

Walking in the beautiful countryside around Dunkeld has given rise to Maggie’s book of Haiku poetry, ‘Two Orbits of the Sun’, in celebration of nature and the seasons.
